HOME PAGE           We are qualified, professional gardeners. We undertake all gardening projects from design to construction, border renovation, shrub and tree rejuvenation plus lawn care including re-turfing (see photos below).  We also provide a regular maintenance service, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or occasional.  We also do clearance. We know our stuff! I have run The Good Garden Company for 12 years.  In that time I have designed and built many gardens and maintained many large and small (see photos below)      I have been a BBC Neighbourhood Gardener, maintaining the Africa Garden at the British Museum, am an RHS Judge and helped judge Britain In Bloom.  Am also a regular gardening 'expert' on the BBC Radio Surrey and Sussex DIGIT program, taking live calls for two hours on the occasional Sunday.       I have also been lucky enough to enter exhibits at The Chelsea Flower Show and the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and have won several medals.  But what I love is gardening - plain and simple... being in the open air and caring for gardens.

Warlingham Surrey - A complete makeover took 4 days in May 2009

A small project to create a garden where there was none. Using Rolawn turf and simple planting. Cost under £1500. Soft landscaping on this

 project only. The clients were delighted.  Especially Red the dog:

Addiscombe, Croydon - A complete makeover of the driveway, including wall, drive, owners fence, borders and planting.

We worked in conjunction with the clients' builder to create an appealing and practical space. The new drive, wall and fence updated this tired front

garden to provide a clean, beautiful and easy to maintain entrance to their home.

We carry out all fencing projects, large and small.  We improve soil with well-rotted manure or mushroom compost prior to planting and mulch to

suppress weeds after planting. The last photo is of the rear patio, laid using Indian Sandstone in Kota Brown.

A small garden in Redhill, Surrey - A New Lawn. July 2009

We had a bit of a hill to climb with this one! The 'garden' had been neglected for some time.  We removed weeds and old 'lawn'. Rotavated, added topsoil and turfed. Cost £700. Completed July 2009.  (The lads are duck-walking to level the area before turfing!)

Sandie Lloyd has the Royal Horticultural Society Certificate in Gardening, gained following a two-year course covering both practical gardening and botany.  Those working for The Good Garden Company are experienced and trustworthy.
